Team Tonkolili is a group of anti-FGM campaigners that came together to try to challenge the Easter cutting season events and help to stop FGM. This report shows how their media campaign is helping to change ideas about FGM.
The team was massively involved in radio and community sensitizations on the Easter Cutting to end FGM within the district. Through our media campaign and community engagement we can reach 205 thousand listeners in broadcasting FGM messages and changed their perception.
Team Port Loko is a team of FGM campaigners in Sierra Leone that got together during the Easter cutting period to work on media activities to help highlight the problems currently faced in the local communities with FGM.
