Ubah Jamal Mohamed is a Journalist working for Jijiga FM Radio and a journalist by trained Global Media Campaign for the last two years to do the best the media campaigns. Ubah is a media campaigner who is interested in ending FGM and eradicating harmful traditional practices in the Somali region.
The Activities were focused on sensitization for 16 days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence. The programs included: School sensitization and Girls Club formation Live Radio Phone in programme.

Gender-based violence has become the talk of the town in different parts of Nigeria and female genital mutilation to be specific has caused lots of pains in the lives of women, hence it is all our duty to fight the act by voicing out our opinion regarding the practice of FGM and most especially the implications of FGM.
We organized a school Outreach at the government science school new Nyanya Nasarawa state and we had reporters from wazobia FM and Nigeria info FM discussing SGBV and the dangers of female genital mutilation.
Our activities at PeeDee Media Consult and Development began with Visit to Communities in Boripe, Ede South, Oriade, Ife South, Ede North, Odo Otin, Ayedire, Ayedaade, Olorunda Atakunmosa West, Obokun and, Ife North LGAs in Osun State.
The project was executed by the Team Members of MAI Initiative for Human Development, under the supervision of the CEO; Ayotomiwa Ayodele.
The media campaign was a radio program aired live at two radio stations in Akure, Ondo State, to amplify our voices against FGM.
Our projects title "Save our young girls and women from pain" was aimed at sensitizing the community, especially in West Pokot County on the effects of FGM and other gender-based violence.
