I created an anti-FGM radio jingle in English and Yoruba and aired it on FRESH FM Ibadan. Ibadan in Oyo state, Nigeria is one of the largest cities in Africa and Fresh FM is a leading radio station so there was an estimated reach of 20,000,000.

This special evening, held on Thursday 3rd February, marked a significant milestone in the Global Media Campaign’s efforts to end FGM. The Activities were focused on sensitization for 16 days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence. The programs included: School sensitization and Girls Club formation Live Radio Phone in programme.
Gender-based violence has become the talk of the town in different parts of Nigeria and female genital mutilation to be specific has caused lots of pains in the lives of women, hence it is all our duty to fight the act by voicing out our opinion regarding the practice of FGM and most especially the implications of FGM.
We organized a school Outreach at the government science school new Nyanya Nasarawa state and we had reporters from wazobia FM and Nigeria info FM discussing SGBV and the dangers of female genital mutilation.
