Radio shows reaches half a million people, talking to end FGM, Team Bombali, Sierra Leone

By Team Bombali,

Team Bombali ran a radio media campaign to help sensitise locals on the harmful effects of FGM.

Media project:

The funds were spent in different Radio sensitization programs: Amzas Radio in Makeni city, Sierra Leone Broadcasting Cooperation (SLBC) Makeni City, and Rokulan community Radio Rokulan town Bombali in District respectively.

The topic of discussion was about the effects of FGM on women and girls, and the role of chiefs, parents, teachers, women, and religious leaders to irradiate this harmful tradition in Sierra Leone.
We host chiefs, schoolgirls, and parents.

The role of chiefs was to let the people understand that FGM is causing a lot of problems to our societies today especially to our children.

Success:

We hit our targeted audiences of over Five Hundred Thousand listeners.
